An Executive Home in Oakville’s Lakeshore Woods...

Lakeshore Woods is a master-planned community in West Oakville that includes more than 16 hectares of woodlots and six hectares of parks, open spaces and woodland trails. A natural creek system runs through the development that encourages walking trails, soccer and baseball fields - there are even leash-free dog parks. This community has fast become the pre-eminent new home community in West Oakville.

Located just north of Lakeshore Road, between Burloak Drive and Bronte Road, Lakeshore Woods is situated next to the historic Village of Bronte.  Formerly a fishing village at the mouth of Twelve Mile Creek, it became annexed in 1962 with the former Township of Trafalgar, forming the Town of Oakville.

The narrow creek valley of Twelve Mile Creek (informally known as Bronte Creek) is undeveloped, except at the mouth which serves as a boat harbor and home of the Bronte Harbour Yacht Club.  The valley

consists almost entirely of parkland including Bronte Harbour Park, Riverview Park, Petro-Canada Park, Twelve Mile Creek Lands and Bronte Creek Provincial Park.

Other attractions in the area include the Vista Promenade, Bronte Butterfly Park and Coronation Park, which has a large playground and hosts the annual Waterfront Festival. There is also great street shopping both in Bronte Village and in Old Oakville.

The local train and bus station is the Bronte GO station, situated at Speers Rd and Third Line, on the Lakeshore West Line.

The local schools include Queen Elizabeth Park, Gladys Speers, Eastview and Brookdale (Public Elementary), Thomas A. Blakelock (Public High School) and St. Dominic and St. Joseph (Catholic Elementary).
